Tsuki No Wa - Ninth Elegy (Vinyl LP)

Details: The long-awaited first release on vinyl of the indie masterpiece released by Japanese cross-border music group 'Tsuki No Wa' in 2000. It's as if 'acid pop' played by Bill Evans. The sound like a daydream, the gentle performance, and the beautiful voice mesmerize the listeners. The 5th release title from the reissue label 'First on Vinyl', curated by CALM, one of the most renowned DJ, producer and record collector in Japan. 'The disc guide book 'Bound for Everywhere' that I published in 2003 was basically a book introducing records, but there was a CD-only chapter at the end, in which I introduced this masterpiece 'Ninth Elegy'. And the impact of this album was so great that I asked vocalist Fuminosuke to participate in my own albums and live performances. The impact is still the same today. This kind of discourse may not be appropriate in the age of fast fashion, but I believe that in the end, great things are still great no matter how many years pass, and they will always be recognized somewhere. Finally, finally, we are releasing it on vinyl. To all those who have been waiting for it and to those who are just getting to know it, this is for all of you. The sound is so simple, the performance and arrangement are as minimized as possible, the vocals are neutral, yet it is psychedelic, acidic, and alternative. I listened to it more carefully for mastering, but it really is a great, timeless album.
