Born in Dallas, Texas, Lisa Loeb began her band career as a student, and in 1993 her song “Stay” was used in the soundtrack to the movie “Reality Bites” starring friend and actor Ethan Hawke. Recorded No. 1 on the Billboard dated August 2014.
She has a unique musical background as the first artist in Billboard history to have no contract with a record company.
“Stay” won two honors: a Grammy nomination and the UK’s largest music award, the Brit Award for Best Newcomer.
She then signed to Geffen Records and released her book Tales in 1995. This album recorded a gold disc nationwide.
